During May 14-16, the 15th "Challenge Cup" Liaoning College Students' Extracurricular Academic Science and Technology Contest was held at Dalian University of Technology. The contest was co-organized by Liaoning Provincial Committee of the Communist Youth League, Educational Department of Liaoning Province, Department of Science & Technology of Liaoning Province, Liaoning Association for Science and Technology, Liaoning Intellectual Property Office, Liaoning Academy of Social Sciences and Liaoning Students' Federation, and presented by Dalian University of Technology. After six selection process in five months, including on-campus selection, on-campus pre-examination, recommendation from universities, preliminary evaluation by provincial experts and scholars, provincial semi-finals and wildcard shows, and finals, 103 works finally won the grand prize, 135 works won the first prize, 285 works won the second prize, and 718 works won the third prize. 60 of the works winning the grand prize have been selected according to the quota requirement to participate in the national contest.
